“Newborn Care and Infant Solutions has changed my life, and I don’t throw those words around lightly. Four years ago I was a career nanny making a very fair salary for my area and although I was content with where I was I also felt stuck and like I had nowhere to go. I took the Foundational Care Course to pad my resume (after much back and forth about if the cost was really worth it) and discovered the wonderful world of NCS work. In the years since I took my first Newborn Care and Infant Solutions course I have continued on to complete every course offered, including the two-year Elite™ and one-year Master® level courses. I plan to continue working with Newborn Care and Infant Solutions as long as they have courses to offer me. Since taking that first course I have established myself as a newborn expert in my local area and have opened a successful consulting company working with both families and caregivers. I credit so much of my success the guidance and mentorship of Tonya Sakowicz, Newborn Care and Infant Solutions owner. I have worked for over 13 families providing Newborn Care Specialist support to both singletons and multiples and am currently booked out for months at a time. Two years ago I was able to fully retire my “nanny hat” to focus solely on my NCS and consulting work and I have never looked back!”

– Wendy Sjaardema,
Master NCS®

“This program gave me the confidence and inspiration to make a major life and career change in the middle of a pandemic. I listened to many of my more seasoned colleagues saying they spent all this money on Elite and Masters, and I thought, “Why? What is so special about this program that I have to invest that much money into myself?” I don’t question it anymore. It was all worth it!”

– Q Beene,
Elite NCS™

“Newborn Care Solutions’ Foundations course was a great experience! It added so much to my knowledge base and confidence level. I loved the class and mentor/mentee so much. The modules are easy to understand, run at an appropriate pace and timed appropriately for each subject. I highly recommend Tonya’s program for anyone wanting a solid, well rounded foundation in the newborn care industry.”

What if I've already taken other training courses?

Not all training is equal. We’ll evaluate on a case-by-case basis, but we love Newborn Care Solutions Institute and highly recommend their online training program.

The Newborn Care Solutions Institute offers a variety of courses to suit your unique needs as a professional. Their newborn infant care classes are offered both live and online, allowing you to learn at your comfort level and pace. Each program offers a certificate of completion upon successfully passing the exam.

Can I get a position and complete the courses afterward?

Although a course isn’t required for placement, it is strongly preferred and will set your application apart. Newborn Care Specialists with this training are over 200% more likely to get placed in top jobs than those without this training. Parents are looking to hire caregivers who are experienced and have the latest knowledge and training to back it up.

If I already have years of experience do I still need the foundations course?

Nothing beats experience, and the fact that you have years of it is outstanding. But, best practices change over time as a result of research (for example, better ways to administer CPR to children have been discovered and studies show that crib bumpers aren’t actually safe), and you don’t want to be basing your care on outdated information. It’s important that, along with your experience, you continue to be educated in the latest methods. Parents are trusting you to have the most up-to-date knowledge.
